The first L-39 finally reaches Brindisi Airport

Last Saturday, the 27th of November 2021, the first L-39 C Albatros, marks YL-KSJ and number 2, landed safely in Brindisi Airport.

Air Dreams is a relatively young but consolidated company, which deals with 360° aviation training in both civil and military fields, tutoring every professional, from maintenance engineers to airline pilots, passing through all typical management roles.
The Operational site in Brindisi, was created precisely to give rise to various stimulating and far-sighted projects, even in rapidly growing sectors, such as that of space tourism, which will see Puglia involved at the forefront.

Very recent news is that we have been chosen by CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) to support them in scientific research activities, precisely through our aircraft.

The two L-39 C Albatros that landed last Saturday are part of this ambitious project. We are speaking of two high-performance jet aircraft, framed as trainers, and in our company, we have the only two pilots in Italy who can claim this plane in the civil flight license, that is Cpt. Valter Sciuba, airline pilot and flight instructor, and Cpt. Ettore Papa, airline pilot and flight instructor, former Head of Training in the aerobatic team of the Frecce Tricolori.

Our structure will also host an ejection seat simulator, completely similar to the one mounted on board the two L39-C Albatros, as well as static simulators, in which to refine the procedures, before the actual takeoff.

That’s not everything, both theoretical and practical lessons will be treated here, aimed at training promising local young people, to support them through the way to obtain the Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
We have also entered into agreements with medical specialists, which will allow us to undergo periodic medical checks, useful for maintaining pilots’ flight licenses.

As for the activities of last Saturday, we made a low pass on our operational headquarters, located in via Maestri del Lavoro d’Italia, and then land on runway 13 of Salento International Airport, right next to it. Subsequently, we will secure the aircraft in the slot that has been reserved for us inside the airport.

Air Dreams wishes to thank director Vincenzo Magistà, journalist Pamela Spinelli and operator Francesco Afrune for the Telenorba report.
