AEROSPACE AND AERONAUTIC MEDICAL CENTER

A.M.D. Aero Medical Department plans, provides and evaluates routine patient care and treatment of beneficiaries to include flying staff and special operational duty personnel.

We organize the medical environment, perform and direct support activities for patient care situations, including contingency operations and disasters.

A.M.D. performs duty as:

  • Independent Duty Medical Technician (IDMT)
  • Aeromedical Evacuation Technician (AET)
  • Scientific and Human Performance Reasearch

The Aerospace Medical Department (AMD) provides aerospace medicine and human factors services such as flight physicals and AME consulting services to pilots and aircrews.
Our mission is to ensure flight crew health and to improve pilot performance, especially for crews employed on fast jets and high performance aircraft.

Aerospace is a challenging environment for healthy humans who act as flight crews or operational duty personnel (including military or civilian), requiring a professional and specialized medical approach.

We provide aeromedical and human factors research in hypobaric, High Gs and microgravity, aero medical training, health consulting and medical treatment for flight personnel and recreational pilots, offering services to aeronautical companies and institutions.

Our professional qualification is compared to flight surgeon level, who also serve as:

  • Rated aircrew, having long flying experience
  • Public health officials
  • Occupational medicine liaisons
  • Medical duty officers
  • Human factors experts
