The aircraft: Aero L-39C Albatros

The Aero L-39 Albatros is a high-performance jet training aircraft developed in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia by Aero Vodochody. It was designed as a replacement for the Aero L-29 Delfín as a transition jet trainer aircraft for the former USSR.

The L-39 Albatros was the first of the second generation jet trainers to be produced designed to bridge the gap between propeller flight trainers and supersonic MIGs. To date, the L39 Albatros has been extensively exported to numerous countries internationally to serve as a military trainer.
